Transfers and visitors
Recording someone arriving from, or leaving for, another church.
A transfer is a member moving between churches with a letter. A visitor is somebody who came but has not joined. They are separate records because they mean different things on a return.
- Open Transfers to record a member leaving for another church, or arriving from one.
- Open Visitors to record somebody who attended without joining.
- A visitor can be turned into a member later without retyping their details.
Only the pastor and administrators can manage transfers, because a transfer changes who counts as a member of your church.
