Members and the register
Adding people, importing a register you already keep, classes, transfers and visitors.
The register is what everything else hangs off. Attendance, giving, the birthday list and the statistical return all come out of it, so it is worth getting right, and the articles here cover getting it in, keeping it current, and getting it back out again.
Fold reads the spreadsheet you already keep rather than making you retype it, and it uses your denomination's words: a Methodist society has Bible classes and class leaders, a Pentecostal assembly has cells, and the member types are the ones your church uses rather than a list somebody else chose.
Start with the import if you have a spreadsheet, or with adding a member by hand if you are starting from a book. Transfers and visitors come later, once the register exists to transfer people into.
