What is a payment processor?

Payment processor

A payment processor is a licensed company such as Paystack or Hubtel that sits between a payer and a church, accepts mobile money or card payments, takes a fee, and settles the balance to the church's account.

The advantage over a plain merchant number is the reference: every payment is tagged with who paid, how much and for what, so the treasurer does not reconcile a wallet statement by hand.
