A conference is the highest governing body of a Methodist church, and in the Seventh-day Adventist Church the regional body that local churches belong to.
The Methodist Church Ghana's Conference meets annually with equal numbers of lay and clergy representatives. An Adventist local church belongs to a conference or mission (the Southern Ghana Union Conference alone had 1,092 churches and 201,831 members in June 2024), which belongs to a union, which belongs to the General Conference.
