What is a district?
District
A district is a group of congregations under one minister or pastor, used by Presbyterian, Pentecostal, Adventist and Assemblies of God churches as the level directly above the local church.
A Pentecost district pastor moves between the assemblies in the district. A Presbyterian district minister chairs the district session. An Adventist district pastor is the ordained minister responsible for a cluster of churches that do not each have their own.
Whatever it is called, it is the person who phones the local church when a report is late.
