“Know well the condition of your flocks, and give attention to your herds.”Proverbs 27:23

What is a offering?

Offering

An offering is money given during a service, collected by the ushers and counted afterwards, usually recorded as a total for the service rather than against individual members.

Churches often take more than one: the main offering, a thanksgiving offering, a special appeal. Each is a separate line on the count sheet and, if the church uses funds, goes to a separate fund.
